INTERNATIONAL MATCH
After a season at the stud the European champion trotter Muscletone has been prepared for his match with the American champion Greyhound, which was scheduled to take place at Goshen, U.S.A., early this month. While- racing in Europe Muscletone won 29 events in 49 starts. He competed in Italy, France, and Germany, being successlul in each country. Last year at Le Croise Laroche, France, in an exhibition. Muscletone trotted a mile in lmin 57 4-ssec. In Italy he is credited with a record of 2min 3Jsec. Muscletone was bred in America, and was purchased by an Italian sportsman soon after he began to show outstanding ability. Greyhound won the Hambleton Stakes in 1935, and since then has taken a record of lmin 57Jsec.
