LONDON MEAT PRICES
The Bank of New Zealand, Produce Department, has received the following advice from its London office as at close of business this week:—The advance in prices for wethers has checked the demand. There is a better inauiry for ewes. The market for lambs is firm. Larger supplies of chilled beef have caused prices to weaken further. Wethers, light 5Jd to 5Jd per lb heavy 4 3-8 dto 5 l-8d; ewes, 3Jd o4 1-8 d; lambs, 2's 7 5-8 dto 7sd, B's 7Ad to 7 5-Bd, 4's 7 l-8d to 7Jd, second 7id to 7 3-8 d; chilled hinds, 4Ad to sd; chilled fores, 3d to 3Jd.
