THATCHER WHEAT
DAMAGE RESISTANCE

A message from St. Paul, Minnesota, states that farmers in the north-west are acclaiming the Thatcher variety of spring wheat, the product of twentyflve years' experimentation. They declare that tests involving 2364 varieties Droved that Thatcher is outstanding. It suffered only 6 per cent, damage from black rust and yielded an average of 241 bushels an acre, outdoing all its rivals, including Ceres, which suffered 70 per cent, damage. Its yield was 9/1 bushels.
