PRICES OF SHEEPSKINS

Wellington woolbrokers held their fortnightly sale of, sheepskins, hides, tallow, and sundries yesterday, when a good average catalogue was submitted to a full bench of buyers. There was tattier a restricted demand for sheepskins and a rather sharp fall in values was recorded, sound pelted lpts declining by id to Id per lb. while inferior and damaged parcels were very erratic of sale. The hides market was again easier, heavy medium and light weights declining'by 3-8 dto id per lb.. Light kip and yearling, however* were in demand and realised improved prices, as did calfskins which sold at id "to 3d advance on last sale's rates.
