With reference to the Press Association telegram from Auckland stating that Mr. F. K. Hunt, of Auckland, a former Stipendiary Magistrate, is proceeding to the Cook Islands, the Press Association is informed that Mr. Hunt is going to the Islands in the capacity of a Judge of the High Court of the Cook Islands to take a case pending in that territory. There is no suggestion of a departmental inquiry concerning the administration of the Islands service.
Mrs. Emma Kitchen reported to the police o£ Lyons, New York, that thieves had stolen her watch-dog, a Great Dane weighing Bst 131b.
