DISABLED SHIP
DUE AUCKLAND TOMORROW (By Telegraph— i'ress Association). AUCKLAND, July 29. At the end of a slow three weeks' voyage under temporary repairs, the American and Australian Line steamer City of Shanghai, which was disabled in mid-Pacific on July 10, advised by wireless that she will arrive from New York on Saturday afternoon. ■The City of Shanghai, which .left New York, on June- 17, was scheduled to reach Auckland on July 20, but fractured her intermediate tunnel shaft on the voyage. Her sister ship, the City of Glasgow,.travelling from Montreal, has been. escorting the City of Shanghai, over the final stages. of her journey at a slow speed. As the. steamers are now within reach of the coast it is apparent that the City of Glasgow.is steaming ahead. She advised that she-would arrive at 9 o'clock on Saturday morning. Both ships will berth to discharge. It is not yet known what arrangements will be made for .docking the disabled City of Shanghai. . ■ ; ■ ■■ .
