SKIING ACTIVITIES
Prospects for skiing at Kime Hut during the weekend are very good, additional snow having fallen as low as Table Top in the \'icinity of Field Hut early in the week. . A small skimg party spent three days at Kime during the week,-and on returning ,to Otaki reported that . the' snow was in' excellent condition . and that though the nights were very cold they had had two very good daj's' skiing. On their return journey to Field Hut visibility was very bad and tha snow was ice-covered on the slopes. .' On August 7 snow sports :will-. be held at Kime and it is anticipated that there will be large entries for all the events. Skiing is now becoming more popular on account of the good, skiing conditions prevailing this winter.
