PLUNKET SOCIETY CONFERENCE
(From "The Post's" Representative.) WANGANUI, July 29.
The provincial conference of the Wanganui group of the Plunket Society was held in the City Council Chambers today, and was officially opened by Mr. J. Siddells, Deputy Mayor. There were five nominations for three positions on the central council, and Mesdames H. D. Robertson (Wanganui), J. M. Clarke (New Plymouth), and Haddow (Patea) were elected. Remits were passed asking the executive to place before the Provincial Conference its reasons for the proposal to alter the general conferences from annual to biennial ones; urging that a collection of the speeches of Sir Truby King, portraying his enthusiasm, high ideals, and spirit be compiled; suggesting that each branch, be levied to pay expenses of central council's president or vice-president to visit all branches periodically to sustain interest in the
