The Bank of Australasia is in receipt of the following cable, dated London, July 29, from its London office: — Frozen lambs: At the beginning of the month demand disappointing, prices slightly, lower, later trade improved. Prices steady prime - quality, . but secondary lambs lagged .owing to a larger ■ proportion of these recently. Buyers are more active; prices firmer, especially for heavyweights, which are becoming short. Australian lambs sharing in improvement. Frozen mutton: New Zealand wethers, prices high, owing to small supplies ewes. Australian mutton rather slow trade, although rather better feeling later. Frozen beef: Larger/quantities arriving, weaker values anticipated. • •
