SECRETARY RESIGNS
As he' is leaving Wellington on transfer, Mr. R. G. Ewing has tendered his resignation as' honorary secretary of the Wellington Amateur • Athletic Centre, a position he has filled with distinction.
'In a letter to Mr. A. C.' Kitto, the president of-the Wellington Centre, Mr. Ewing expresses his regret at having to tender his 'resignation, , t which he desires to take effect from" August 6. Mr. Ewing thanks the officials, committee, and members of the centre for their assistance to him ■as secretary. "I am sorry," he adds,' "that I am unable' to see the fulfilment of. the reorganisation scheme and the operation of the scratch racing project, but with all 'sincerity I wish the Wellington Centre the very best of success in their future activities! and trust that the same unanimity will exist in the future' as has been the case since I have been associated with the centre." He also thanks Mr. Kitto personally for the assistance Mr. Kitto has given him. .
