In the House of Commons todaj Lord Cranborne, Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, said that constant touch had been maintained with the Chinese Ambassador in London dunnj the last few days and it had been mads plain to him that the British Government would lose no opportunity of making any contribution in its power towards a peaceful solution of the present Sino-Japanese dispute.
