REFORMATIVE TERM
AUCKLAND UNION SECRETARY
(By Telegraph—Tress" Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. A sentence of twelve months' reformative detention was imposed by his Honour Mr. Justice Fair in the Supreme Court on Charles Gordon Lindsay for theft of £60 while secretary of the Auckland Drivers' and Related Trades' Union, to which charge he pleaded guilty. The accused was not represented by counsel and had nothing to say. His Honour said that the prisoner had a previous conviction for theft, in 1928, but in view of the long period which had since elapsed he would not take that into account.
