FINAL TRIAL

TOMORROW'S RUGBY

V N.Z. SELECTIONS

TWO STRONG SIDES

Great as was the interest in the interisland match last Saturday, there is every indication that tomorrow's final match of the big trial series in WelIlington will attract attention the like I lof which has never previously been! shown in a trial match in New Zealand. Although the selectors are delaying their choice of players to represent New Zealand against the Springboks until the end of the month, there is feeling generally that the Test side will come from the players taking part in tomorrow's match. It is certain, at any rate, that all players taking part tomorrow are among the foremost of contenders for places in the New Zealand Test team, with the likelihood of the final fifteen coming from this last trial, except, perhaps, in the case of an odd place. For that reason, tomorrow's match is creating tremendous interest. All the players are keen to give of their best, as this is recognised as tha most important of all trials. There is little lacking on the score of fitness, except that one or two of the players were a little doubtful about being at their best. However, should any lastminute change be found to be necessary, there is excellent material in reserve. As announced yesterday, Salomon has been replaced by Killeen in one of the teams. The match is to commence at 2.45 p.m., and preceding it there will be a match between teams representing Rongotai College and the Hutt Valley High School. The gates at Athletic Park are to be opened at about midday. THE TEAMS. D. Trevathan and H. Simon, who have been called to Wellington for the final trial, arrived from the south today.
