STRONG ACTION WANTED
SPEECH BY GOEBBELS
INFLAMMATORY DECLARATION
BERLIN, June 22. An inflammatory declaration of Germany's attitude on the subject of the Leipzig incident was made by the Minister, of Propaganda, Dr. Joseph Goebbels, addressing 130,000 Nazis at the Olympic Stadium. "Germany will not be satisfied with the incident being referred from one committee to another in the manner of the League of Nations and a letter being sent to Valencia after three months in such terms as 'You naughty, naughty Bolsheviks, you know such things are not done," he declared. "Germany docs not want war but peace, which can best be served by strong action. We have found in domestic policy that there are people with whom one can reason only after knocking out their teeth," he added.
