EMPIRE TRADE PACTS
(Received June 23, 1 p.m.) OTTAWA, June 22. The Revenue Minister (Mr. J. L. Hsey) has announced that the Empire trade agreements, which will expire in July, will be extended to 1940, with the same preferences. This statement scotches reports that the remarks of the Prime Minister (Mr. Mackenzie King) on freer trade at the Imperial Conference presage cancellation of the agreements.
