EXPORT OF SCRAP METAL
(By Telegraph.) (Special to the "Evening Post.") DUNEDIN, This Day. New Zealand was being denuded of scrap iron, said the Mayor at a City Council meeting. Their engineers were wanting iron, and for the sake of a few extra shillings a ton they should not allow scrap metal to go to a foreign country. Councillors pointed out that the Government's embargo would probably prevent the exportation of cast iron to foreign countries.
