SCHOOL DEVOTIONS
VOTING ON THE PROPOSAL
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —I was much interested to read ybur timely comments on the: action of the Education Board in allowing the schools to be used every day for half, an hour for the purpose of the much-debated subject of "Bible in Schools." It would be an enlightenment to know how the members voted when the motion was put.—l am, etc., COMMITTEE MAN. [It is pointed out that the schools are not to be used for half an hour daily. The request made by the league was for five, minutes daily in addition to the existing half-hour each week during which instruction is given under the Nelson system. The voting was as follows:—For the motion: Colonel T. W. McDonald, Messrs. J. J. Clark, A. Donald, W. A. Pike, H. Duckworth, J. Stonehouse, C. H. Nicholls, A. C. Blake, W. R. Nicol. Against: ■ Messrs. W. V. Dyer, P. Robertson, G. M. Henderson, W. H. Jackson, L. J. McDonald.]
