A TRIP ABROAD?
MR. SEMPLE'S HEALTH
COLLEAGUES CONCERNED
Though ■no official information is available, there is reason to believe that the recovery of the Minister of Public Works (the Hon. R. Semple) from his recent indisposition is not as thorough as his colleagues hoped, and that steps may be taken to induce him to take a complete rest from his Ministerial duties for a period. It is suggested that this respite might take the form of a health-recruiting trip to Australia. In this event some other member of the Government will take temporary charge of the portfolios of Public Works and Transport. Mr. Semple left last evening for Christchurch, where he proposed to attend the annual dinner of the Canterbury Advertising Club today, and to take part in a conference of'transport interests tomorrow.
