TENSE FEELING
RABAUL FIRMS AND THE ADMINISTRATION "
RABAUL, June. 4.
The situation between the Administration and local firms is growing rather tense owing to the taking over of foodstuffs by the Administration. The firms do not approve of returning to Rabaul and are'making extensive arrangements to remain at Kokopu. They, are fearful of a repetition of the outbreak, though seemingly this is unwarranted.
The local paper today issued a special evacuation number and urges delay before finality is reached.
