TAIL LIGHT AT AUCKLAND
The hunting enthusiast and racehorse owner Mr. K. McK. Duncan is always much interested in the Carbine Plate, the gentlemen riders' event at the Great Northern Meeting, and chis year he will again be riding his own horse Tail Light in the race..
Undjubtedly Mr. Duncan, hopes later on to win the next Duke of Gloucester Cup with the same horse, who was fourth in the last Cup decided at Riccarton in August. Back in 1929 Mr. Duncan rode his own horse Otairi to victory in the Carbine Plate at, Ellerslie. Since thsn he has failed to score with his own horses, but he was successful in winning the race in 1932 and 1933 on Seneschal and Beacon Fire respectively. The last two years he has filled third placing on Lap Up and Tail Light respectively. Tail Light was second favourite last year, when Shy was the winner
