"Girl irl a Million," the Twentieth Century-Fox spectacular musical picture that thrillingly glorifies the girl in a million, lovely SonjaHeme, comes to the Plaza Theatre on Friday. With a hundred gorgeous girls in sensational ice revels amid a dazzling winter wonderland of breath-taking beauty, it is said to ,be the wonder show, of 1937. Figure skating to Sonja being really ballet en ice, Sonja studied with the famous Russian Ballet, and a bright performance of dancing on ice in London resulted in a command performance before the King and Queen. Command performances for most of the monarchs of Europe followed, for by that time Sonja was twice Olympic figure-skating champion. Pert, five feet two inches tall, weighing one hundred and ten pounds, blonde and attractive, Sonja was widely sought as a film actress, and her highest ambition, a breath-taking winter ballet on ice, is a spectacular highlight of "One in a Million." Borrah 'Minevitch and his gang, virtuosi of the harmonica, who are featured in the picture, have the distinction of having given the first and only all-harmonica concert at London's famed Albert Hall, whore only the most classical of music is heard and where only the greatest of artists appear. Featured with Sonja Henie and Minevitch are Adolphe Men.iou, Jean Hersholt, Ned Sparks, the Ritz Brothers, Annie Jud?e, Dixie Dunbar, Leah Ray, and Shirley Deane. Lew Pollack and Sidney D. Mitchell composed six song hits for the picture.
