■'■■'.-.■•: ■-. '— • The eleventh annual report of the Tawa Flat 'Progressive and Ratepayers' Association, presented at the May meeting, showed the work done by the association during the past year. The membership of 64 indicates the support which the association receives. One valuable feature of the work has been the promotion of the formation of a scenic bush reserve which has been the generous gift to the district of- Mr. J. W. Mexted, of.Pahautanui., .-,... The year has also seen the completion of the footpath running through the centre of .Tawa Flat* which will provide school children, living at the north, with a direct approach to the school without the necessity of travelling on the main road. The granting of the services of, a district nurse by the Hospital Board has met with approval, and the district is looking forward to the inauguration of. this most necessary medical service.
