PLUNKET SOCIETY BENEFITS
Miss Phyllis Bates, who organised the very successful cabaret which took place about a month ago in aid of the Plunket Society's funds, repeated the success last riight when - another party, attended by many well-known Wellington • people,' was held in the Majestic Cabaret. Some. beautiful dance frocks were'worn, and showed to advantage -in the ; rather Continentallooking setting of the cabaret.
Many of the tables arranged around the raised dance floor were "grouped together to'accommodate large, parties, and the decorations, and lighting were most effective. The orchestral dais was in green and scintillating silver; red, white, and blue bunting hung above : the alcoves on either side of the cabaret.and was caught up in the centre with a large golden crown below which was hanging a coloured mirror ball;, and. in.the .'foyer, where the lovebirds ip gilded cages chattered and sang, arid'gbldfish' in a large green glass'tank-made j .splashes- of light, beautiful chrysanthemums, yellow
