INTEREST ON CONTINENT
LONDON, May 12. Apart from Italy, where newspapers except the Vatican paper are.not printing a line regarding, the Coronation or of British news at all practically the whole world celebrated the Coronation, listening to broadcasts which in many countries were relayed to churches which British Ambassadors and other representatives attended. European newspapers publish congratulatory articles praising King George and the British Constitution. Many rulers, including King Leopold of the Belgians, sent congratulatory messagef to the King. Throughout the British Dominions parades were held, salutes fired, and .social gatherings arranged. African potentates presented loyal addresses. There was a remarkable demonstration at Paris, where.M. Blum attended the British Embassy church. Three hundred stockbrokers, standing on the steps of the Bourse, sang God £>a\e the King" and gave three cheers for their Majesties.
