It is thirteen years since at the end of March, 1924, Imperial Airways was established by the merging into one national enterprise of the four then existing air companies. From the operation.of 1760 miles of routes, as they existed in 1924, the services of Imperial Airways and its subsidiary and associated companies now extend over just on 30,000 miles. The: airliners of Imperial Airways, and of its subsidiary and associated companies, are now flying more than 20,000 miles a day.
