CORONATION DAY GAMES
Three games played yesterday afternoon in the First A Division championship competition of the Wellington Football Association were keenly contested, and in the two on the Basin Reserve evidence was given of the great keenness and skill being shown by players this season, no doubt because of the early arrival of the English amateur team. Waterside beat Marist 4-2 in a game in which pace and interest never flagged; Seatoun defeated Institute 0.8. 3-0,, though not so easily as the scyore would indicate, and Petone beat Technical 0.8. by the same margin. The HospitalDiamond fixture was postponed as Diamond-could not field a team. Seatoun and Waterside are now joint leaders of the senior division, with Hospital and Petone next. !; Yesterday's games were played in almost ideal conditions, under an overcast sky with a slight breeze. )
