CAR OUT OF CONTROL
ON RIMUTAKA HILL
A car, containing. five, men' from Petone who" were ' setting out on a shooting trip, got out of control on the Featherston side" of the Rimutaka Hall at 3.30 a.m. today. Something went wrong with'the brake when the car was half-way down the hill,' and it careered down the steep incline .of the road. ..... The passengers jumped out, with the exception^ of the driver, Jack of 25 Richmond Street, Petone, "who stayed at the wheel , until all were clear and then forced the car into the bank.. The car was wrecked, but the men'were not seriously hurt.' A passing motorist gave them a lift to Featherston, where they received medical attention. Three of the men then went back to the car and the Others returned to Petone. '-".■'_'
