STATE HOUSES AT ORAKEI

AUCKLAND, May 3.
The construction of the first of 209 houses to be built at Orakei under the Government housing scheme in Auckland was begun today.
Only a small staff of workmen is engaged at Orakei at present, but as the work progresses the number- of men will,be increased and later there will probably be over 200 men employed.
