HOUSES DAMAGED
WHIRLWIND AT GREYMOUTH

GREYMOUTH, May 3.
A whirlwind at 8.45 p.m. partially wrecked residences in Chapel Street.
A verandah was torn from Mrs. Kennedy's residence, the owner of which was absent. Two balconies were blown off Mr. W. Olsen's residence, which the occupants hastily left. Miss Roaches residence had the windows shattered, and trees wece. damaged outside. There was no damage elsewhere.
