SEAVILL—COBBE.
Miss Ng£ire Cobbe, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Cobbe, "Ratanui," Te Akau, and granddaughter of the Hon. J. G. .Cobbe, was married this week at Claudelands, Hafniltbn, to Mr. Geoffrey. ..Herbert, third soi* of Mrs. Seavill and. the late Mr. W. Seavill, "Lacewood," Waingaro. Decorations of St. Aidan's Church were in tones of cream and rose. The bride wore a simply-cut frock of ivory French crepe, the skirt having a long train. Her tulle veil was caught with crange blossom, and her sheaf was composed of ivory chrysanthemums and roses. Misses Grace Hubbord and Jean Gredex were bridesmaids, wearing old-world frocks of deep rose moire taffeta, with 'silver hairbands, ; and carrying Victorian posies "of r violets. Messrs. Lan Mears and Bill Rathbone were best man and groomsman respectively, and the ceremony'• was performed by the Rev. G. A. Crossman, with Miss: Crossman 'at the organ. Messrs. Fritz Williams (King-;'.-Coun-try) and Alan Seavill (Waingaro) were the ushers. The reception was held at "The Wattles,", where Mrs. Cobbe received her guests, wearing beige cobweb lace, and brown peach-bloom hat. Her flowers were golden: zinnias, and marigolds. Mrs. Seavill :was in black georgette and lace, and black and white toque. /.' When Mr. and Mrs. Seavill left the latter wore a smart black and white check'suit-and henna hat. They will make their home at Waingaro. POWELL—HUNT. Autumn tinted foliage and flowers were/used -to adorn Holy Trinity Church, Hunterville, for the .wedding of Frances Evelyn, younger daughter of Mrs. Hunt, of Gisborne, and. the late Rev. F. G. Hunt,; Watford Herts, England, and Piers Tudor, only son of Mrs. Powell and the late. Mr. T. V. L. Powell, Makariri, Hunterville.- Mr. F. I. Hunt, of Napier, escorted the bride, who wore magnolia ring.velvet and a Carrickmacross veil, and carried. a shower bouquet. Misses Ivy Hunt, Nancy Morton, and small Janet Black were bridesmaids,, frocked in /Coronation crimson velvet. Messrs. P. Briant (Martpn) and G. R. Black (Muriwai) were best-man and groomsman. Canon A F • Hall performed the ceremony, with the Rev. T. A. Moresby. (Gisborne) at the organ. , . A reception was held at the home of Mr and Mrs.- E. A. Black, where a large number of guests were present.
