TIMBER MILL DESTROYED
(By Telegraph—Prcsp Association.) AUCKLAND, April 28.
The Roose Shipping Company's timber mill at Mercer was burnt down at 10 o'clock tonight. The flames spread with great rapidity and the plant in the demolished building was badly damaged. A rough estimate of the total loss is £3000. Insurances in the South British office are for £850. The mill employed 20 men and had large orders on hand. .
