The Y.W.C.A. is fortunate in possessing its own facilities for badminton, and the extra clubs it has been'necessary to form this year speak well for the attractions this game has to offer. The mixed ballroom dancing classes are proving particularly attractive, and tha series of monthly invitation dances, commencing on Saturday next, will afford an 'opportunity for pleasant social intercourse between members and their friends.

The introduction of language classes in French and German into the programme of activities makes this study possible. Dr. Greta Short, M.A., Ph.D., will conduct the German classes, and Madame Tarbayoff those desiring to learn French. Enrolments are now being received for both beginners and those mor,e advanced in these subjects. Drama and bridge circles have been formed and are proving to be popular additions in the scheme of things.. Other attractive features are tap-danc-ing and physical culture. A children's gymnasium will be held, also dressmaking, basketball, and hockey. Further particulars of all these activities are • given .-in- an advertisement-in this issue, and any other ■ information will be-gladly given on inquiry to the association.
