HORSES AT FEILDING.
An offering of 130 horses came forward at the Feilding horse sale this week. The unbroken horses were mostly light sorts, with a few of heavier class. Except for horses showing quality, bidding was dull and sales hard to effect, but most.lots were disposed Ox. In a good catalogue of broken draughts, good sorts were in demand, and although on the whole the sale was inclined to drag, excellent prices were obtained for horses showing weight and quality. Sales were, affected as follows: Broken horses: Heavy ■ six-year gelding, all work, £65; four-year geldings, £35 to £44; eight- and nine-year geldings, £31 10s to £38;. aged geldings, best £26 to £30, others £12 to £20; heavy mare with foal at foot, £60; three-year mares, broken to chains, £40 to £50; four- and five-year mares. £32 to £40; seven-year mare. £27 and £38; aged mares, best £35 to £41; others. £15 to £17 10s.
Unbroken horses: Medium-weight two-year fillies, £21. £22; mediumweight geldings, £16 to £21: lighter sorts, £12 10s to £13 10s; hacks, best, £10 to £13 ss. others £4 5s to £8 10s: mares with foals at foot. £4 to £12 10s.
Broken hacks: Best, £10 to £13 ss, others, £4 5s to £8.
