HEALTH CAMP FOR WESTPORT
(Special to the "Evening Post.")
WESTPORT, This Day.
Strong support for the appeal to raise funds for the King George V Memorial, which is to take the form of- permanent children's- health camps in New Zealand, was promised at a well-attended meeting of members of the Westport Health Camp Committee and others in the Town' Hall on Monday night, but it was decided to allocate half the money raised to a local fund for the purpose of holding a children's health camp in the Buller hospital district during the coming summer. The Mayor (Mr. J. Kilkenny), who presided, stated that the committee had already in hand £107, being the proceeds of former sales of Health stamps, donations, and appeals in the district.
