SOCIAL EVENING
MIRAMAR KINDERGARTEN
The Miramar branch of the Free Kindergartens held . a very pleasant social evening at the Airport Rooms recently. The last kindergarten to be opened under the auspices of the F.K.U. has been referred to by the council as "the baby," and there was a large attendance of Miramar residents- as. well as Mrs. Dowsett (secretary), and. Miss; Harris- 1 (director) at the first party. Mrs. Dowsett wished success and prosperity to "the baby," and some good musical items were given by Mrs. Eileen Miller, Miss Kate Woods, and Miss Frances Roberts. Misses Thora Spence and Wyatt were the accompanists.: Some students of the Training College gave an excellent performance of ."The Man with the Bowler Hat." Competitions, games, and home-made supper brought a very pleasurable evening to a close.
