OBITUARY
MR. W. GRAHAM BROWNE

The death has occurred of Mr. W. Graham Browne, the actor, husband of Miss Marie Tempest, who says she will play tonight, as it was her husband's last wish.
Mr. Browne died of double pneumonia. He became ill on March 3. Both he and his wife on the previous evening had been received by Queen Mary during the interval of a play.
W. Graham Browne, who was 67 years of age, was Marie Tempest's third husband. He made his first appearance on the London stage at the Haymarket Theatre in 1891. Between 1893 and 1910 he toured England, the Continent, and America, and in 1911 he appeared at Edinburgh with Marie Tempest. In 1914 he again visited Canada and America with Marie Tempest, and during the war years the pair toured Australia and New Zealand, and they paid subsequent visits to the Dominions. Mr. Browne produced most of the plays he appeared in since 1911, and was known as one of the l.iost capable producers in London. He staged "None But the Brave" in 1926, and "The Truth Game," "Deadlock," and "Mrs. Moonlight" in 1928.
