RANKS IN RED ARMY
SALUTING COMPULSORY
MOSCOW, March 9.
New Red Army orders designate generals as commanders and, approve the introduction of the ranks, of colonel, major, captain, lieutenant,, and sergeant. They also compel saluting, which hitherto was prohibited.
MR. NASH IN MANCHESTER
LONDON, March 9.
The New Zealand Minister of Finance and Marketing, Mr. W. Nash, has gone to Manchester, where he will, investigate the direct shipment and, general handling of New Zealand' produce and discuss means of expanding, trade.
He will be the chief guest tonight1 at a dinner given by the Manchester Provisions Exchange.
