HUTT RIVER BOARD
The monthly meeting of the Hutt River Board, held yesterday, was attended by Messrs. J. Mitchell (chairman), J. Brasell, and F. J. Jones.
■ It was decided to make no charge to the- Public Works Department for the use of the board's plant and gear in connection with the diving operations in ;the. estuary, but to charge the sum of £12 3s 6d, being the wages of the board's men engaged in the work.
A payment of £75 was authorised to the Wellington Concrete Pipe Company, for the .work the firm had done 'in dredging through a shingle spit at Melling! It was decided to clear the Waiwhetu Stream as soon as the board's staff was available.
