VISIT TO AFRICA
SIGNOR MUSSOLINI EMBARKS

ROME, March 10.
Flying from Rome to Gaeta, Signor Mussolini embarked by armed motorboat on the cruiser Pola for Tobruk, in Libya. The town was decorated and citizens cheered. , The Pola. departed, escorted by the cruisers Fiume, Zara, and Gorizia. Several Ministers accompanied the Duce, who, after his arrival at Tobruk, will give the signal for the start of the manoeuvres, in which sixty vessels will participate in order to ascertain whether Italian warships between Sicily and Libya can control shipping passing through the Narrows. Signor Mussolini will spend a fortnight in Tripoli. He will open a. colonial fair and inaugurate 1100 miles of highway from Egypt to Tunisia which was completed .last year in order to enable Italy to mass troops on the Egyptian border in ,the event of trouble with Britain. After making excursions to the interior, the Duce will hold a review, which will conclude the manoeuvres.
