SOME BIG HITTING
SYDNEY, March 9. The England-Combined Universities match was drawn after some lively cricket. J. Chaplin, batting for the home team, hit up 57 in 19 minutes,'including two 6's and nine 4's. W. R. Hammond's century included three 6's and fourteen 4's. Scores: — 'England, 212 for nine .wickets, declared (W. R. Hammond 103, J. M. Sims 30, M. Leyland 14). Bowling for Universities, J. Morrison took two wickets for 46 runs and M. Steele three for 64. Combined Universities, 169 for seven wickets (J. Chaplin 57, W. Loxton 39). Bowling for England, H. Verity took three for 13, and Hammond three for 47. This was the last match of the tour. The Englishmen leave for New Zealand on Saturday.

The Wanganella's departure for Wellington next Saturday will be delayed from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. to enable the English cricketers to play an Association football match prior to their embarkation for New Zealand.
