NOISY MOTOR-CYCLISTS
(To' the Editor.)
Sir, —Whenever are these noises at night by motor-cycles going to be stopped? Many motor-cycle riders seem to. delight 'in' making as muchnoise as they can without thought for those that are sick and confined to their beds, never to; rise .again, or even those that require their usual night's rest. Let Mr. Semple ■ compel all motor-cycles to have a sealed silencer. Wherever there are straight stretches of road, such as at Sent Terrace, Kilbirnie, and Lyall Bay, these noises are heard. Why are the.motorcycles allowed to have an open exhaust while the motor-cars are, silent? I trust that the traffic department or police will take action against' these offenders without further delay.—l am, etc.,
RESTFUL,
