The Blenheim marksman, Captain W. N. Masefield, maintained his reputation for outstanding shooting on the ranges today by winning the Service Belt after taking third. place with four points down in the final fifty. J. H. Kearney, of Napier, was three points ahead of Masefield but lost his advantage in the final shoot and had to shoot off for the winning points. One sighter and five shots were fired and Masefield made 21 to Kearney's 16 to win the belt. >• Captain Masefield is the present holder of the King's Belt, having won it a year ago for the third time. If he is successful again this year he will establish several new records. Conditions for the third match of the Service series Were similar to those existing earlier in the day, a fairly strong wind" blowing diagonally across the range.
