MEN OF KENT

(To the Editor.)

. Sir, —Will you please allow me, through the columns of your paper, to draw the attention of your readers to a ceremony which is to take place at Shorncliffe, Folkestone, England, on Saturday, May 22, 1937.

On that day the Silver Bugle which is being given to the Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment by this association to mark the Coronation will be formally presented. The regiment is also arranging a parade at which the ceremony of Trooping the Colours will be performed.

We are very desirous of making this event a meeting place for all the people of Kent who are coming home for the Coronation, where they can meet each other, find old friends, and see one of their own county regiments on parade.

The Association of-Men of Kent and Kentish Men, therefore, sends a very cordial invitation to all Kent folk who may be coming Home for the Coronation to be our guests at the above ceremony, and to take tea with us afterwards.

The association very much hopes this function will be the Kent "at home" for all Kent folk who are coming "Home."

Will all those who wish to be present send, as soon as possible, their name and the address at which they will be staying in England, to the secretary, Association of Men of Kent and Kentish Men, 22 Lower Stone Street, Maidstone, England, when a personal invitation card will be sent to them.— I am, etc.,

CORNWALLIS. President." Association of Men of Kent and Kentish Men.

The Duke of Aosta, a cousin of'the King of Italy and a general in the Italian Air Force, left Berlin after a visit of 12 clays as the guest of General Goering, the German Air Minister.
