SENTENCED TO DEATH
RUSSIAN JUDGE
MURDER, ARSON, & BRIBERY
(Received March 6, 2 p.m.) . . . . MOSCOW, March 5. , The Supreme Court sentenced to death Judge Demidov, who pleaded guilty to charges including murder, arson, perverting justice, and accepting bribes.
It was stated in evidence that Demidov murdered the woman caretaker of the courts who discovered that he was taking bribes. Demidov set fire to the courthouse in order to destroy the body and files containing evidence.
