HEALTH OF NATIONS
TASK FOR MR. JORDAN
(From .."The Post's" Representative.) LONDON, February 3.
Mr. W. J. Jordan, High Commissioner, has been appointed. Rapporteur of the League of Nations Health Committee, the work of which' is considered one of the principal activities under the' League's, auspices. The committee is to take over ■ the consideration of all health matters. Twelve countries are represented'on it. It also has to • deal with problems of malnutrition, housing, and other matters. In his statement to the League, Mr. Jordan said that it is his intention to present a report dealing.not only with the subjects mentioned, but the standards of living and other circumstances which affect' the health and general welfare of- the people of the-res-pective countries. Mr. Jordan has also been elected to the committee of three, set up to consider petitions from minority nationals.' '
Dr. R. M.-Campbell has been appointed, a ' corresponding member of the Economic Committee of the League of Nations.'
