ACCUSED AGAIN REMANDED

The Maori farm labourer, John Toka, aged 24, who was arrested on February 21 on a charge of murdering Toka Whakaia, aged 70, at Patumahoe, appeared in the Police Court on remand this morning. The police asked for a further remand until Monday.
"Will the police be ready to proceed then?" asked Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M.
"I don't think so," replied DetectiveSergeant McHugh. Toka was remanded until Monday next.
