FIRST VISIT TO EAST COAST

GISBORNE, This Day.

The first visit of the Governor-Gen-eral, Lord Galway, to the East Coast will be marked by a large gathering of Natives at Tikitiki on Tuesday when his Excellency will present the Bledisloe Gup for the most efficient Maori farmer to Henry Dewes. His Excellency will disembark from the steamer Matai at Hick's Bay and proceed to Tikitiki, returning to the vessel after the ceremony.
