TOKIO, February 25.

Five English women missionaries at Migashikozu village, near Osaka, who were sheltering two girl escapees from a disorderly house were attacked by the proprietor of the house and three other men armed with sticks, in an attempt to recapture the girls. They beat the .two •missionaries unconscious.

The police arrested two of the attackers.
