AMPHIBIAN EXERCISES
The Supermarine Walrus amphibian aeroplane belonging to H.M.S. Achilles was catapulted from the ship at about 4.40 a.m. today, and cruised around the Wellington district until 7 a.m., when it landed at Rongotai Aerodrome. It left again for the ship at 10.30 a.m. and landed in the harbour near the Achilles, being taken on board by means of a special crane.
The Marlborough Club's aeroplane ZK-AEM arrived at Rongotai this morning from Nelson, and a Wellington aeroplane, ZK-ADP, piloted by Mr. R. Gay. left Rongotai at 1.45 p.m. today with a passenger for Christchurch,
