SCOW STRANDED
MISHAP AT MANAWATU HEADS (By Telegvapl.—l'ross Association.) FOXTON, This Day. The auxiliary scow Haunui bccame stranded on the south spit, Manawatu Heads, on Saturday when endeavouring to make oort with 120 tons of coa' <• on! •jreymouth. The weather was very boisterous at the time. AH efforts to refloat the scow up to the present have been unsuccessful. The scow is stranded on sand, and is in no immediate dancer. The weather is abating.
